Through games, stories, and playful movements, children embark on a magical exploration of their inner selves, discovering strength, balance, and flexibility to help develop discipline, empathy and self-assurance along the way.
Yoga Program Overview: Weekly Themes & Activities:
- Week 1: Introduction to Yoga – Learn the four rules of yoga, warm-up, Savasana, and mindful eating.
- Week 2: Head-to-Toe Movement – Explore basic poses and body awareness, with journaling for mindfulness.
- Week 3: Rhyming & Body Awareness – Review body parts, introduce sun salutations, and practice mindful body.
- Week 4: Listening Skills – Focus on listening through balance poses and bells mindfulness.
- Week 5: Truthfulness & Exaggeration – Animal poses, balance work with hula hoops, and bean bag mindfulness.
- Week 6: Mindful Presence – Holding poses for 10 seconds, ending with mindful breathing.
- Week 7: Self-Contentment – Practice animal breaths and mindful walking.
- Week 8: Acceptance & Kindness – Backbends, partner poses, and loving-kindness practice.
- Week 9: Imagination – Dragon, frog, and balancing poses, with a “pencil” mindfulness activity.
- Week 10: Self-Belief – Core and balance work with happy baby and tree pose.
- Week 11: Strength & Confidence – Empowering poses and sensory mindfulness.
- Week 12: Self-Acceptance – Notice how poses help with self-esteem, ending with hand-tracing mindfulness.
- Week 13: Kindness in Community – Kindness discussion, mindful movement, and take-home Brave Bots activity.
