Young animal lovers explore the world of veterinary science by practicing real vet skills on stuffed animal 'pets,' from bandaging and heart rate checks to suturing and X-ray analysis—all while having hands-on fun each week!
Students dive into the world of veterinary science and imagination! Each week, they’ll bring a stuffed animal “pet” from home to practice essential vet skills. Clad in lab coats, our junior vet techs will learn bandaging, ear checks, heart rate monitoring, and pet care tips for vet visits. Students will explore how the heart pumps with a model, practice suturing, and even examine X-rays on a light table! To wrap up the session, they’ll bake pet treats to take home, complete with a recipe for future treats.
