Have a blast while building coordination and body movement skills!
In this class, students will learn the basics of tumbling, including forward and backward rolls, handstands, bridges, and cartwheels. It’s the perfect introduction to tumbling for young movers!
Classes will focus on the following skills:
- Weeks 1-3: Tumbling practice, building V-seat routine
- Weeks 4-5: Bar routine review; add sole circle dismount, glide kip, and shoot through
- Weeks 6-8: Vault skills, Star Testing, and floor tumbling
- Week 9: Obstacle course and relay race
- Weeks 10-12: Balance Beam focus—Wolf jump, straight jump, stick landing, and round-off dismount
- Weeks 13-15: “Around the World” workout stations: Frog stand, Double L, handstands, round-off rebound, splits (left, right, middle), and back bridge
- Weeks 16-17: Air Tumble Track, mini trampoline, and bar routine (cast swing, L-hang)
