Tumble, roll, stretch, and play! TumblePlay invites young movers to explore the joy of motion through fun, confidence-building tumbling activities.
Each session blends playful warm-ups, age-appropriate movement skills, and foundational gymnastics, all set to music and paired with bubbles, rhythm streamers, and creative obstacle courses. Students will build flexibility, balance, strength, coordination, and self-confidence while having a blast!
Weekly Overview:
- Week 1: Introduction to tumbling and safety – Learn safe movement on mats and body awareness.
- Week 2: Stretching and flexibility – Warm up with fun stretches and animal movements.
- Week 3: Balance – Walk on floor lines or low beams to improve balance and focus.
- Week 4: Rolling – Practice log rolls and forward rolls safely.
- Week 5: Jumping and landing – Learn to jump with both feet and land softly.
- Week 6: Core strength – Build strength through bear walks, crab walks, and tucks.
- Week 7: Coordination course – Move through obstacle courses with rolls, jumps, and crawls.
- Week 8: Hand support – Practice mini handstands and donkey kicks safely.
- Week 9: Balance challenges – Try balancing on one foot or using props.
- Week 10: Cartwheel basics – Learn beginning steps of a cartwheel with assistance.
- Week 11: Flexibility fun – Combine stretching and movement games.
- Week 12: Strength and movement – Link skills together in sequences.
- Week 13: Obstacle play – Complete fun tumbling obstacle stations.
- Week 14: Routine practice – Put together simple movement routines.
- Week 15: TumblePlay celebration – Showcase favorite skills and games learned.
