Whether you’re looking to solidify your foundation, build confidence, or prepare for Spanish 3 in general, this program offers a focused curriculum tailored to meet your needs.
Designed as a bridge between Middle School Spanish C and Upper School Spanish 3, this intensive three-week summer program provides the essential grammar, vocabulary, and skills necessary for success in advanced Spanish studies.
Who Should Enroll?
This program is ideal for:
- Rising 9th Graders: Students who have completed Spanish C and want to transition seamlessly into Spanish 3 in the Upper School.
- Students Seeking Confidence: Those who struggled in Spanish D or Spanish 2 and wish to reinforce their understanding before advancing.
- Honors Aspirants: Students from Spanish 2 or Spanish D who placed into Spanish 3 but aspire to be considered for Spanish 3 Honors.
- New Students: Those new to the school who have been recommended for this program as part of their placement process.
Placement Opportunity: Students will complete a new placement test at the end of the program. This test determines eligibility for Spanish 3 or Spanish 3 Honors in Fall 2025.
While taking the program does not guarantee a new placement, all enrolled students will have the opportunity to sit for the test.
Additional Information:
- Attendance and Participation: Students must meet attendance requirements and actively participate in classwork, homework, and activities to remain in good standing and qualify for the placement test.
- Non-Credit Course: This is not a credit-bearing program. It will not appear on transcripts, nor will grades be factored into GPA.
Why Take Spanish 2.5?
This program is more than a review—it’s a fast-paced, skill-building program designed to:
- Strengthen fundamentals for future success.
- Open doors to advanced placement opportunities.
- Build confidence in Spanish communication.
