Soccer Tennis combines the best of soccer and tennis in one fast-paced, high-energy game! Players use their feet, chest, and thighs (no hands!) to send a soccer ball over a net, aiming to score points.
Each week, students will learn the fundamentals of Soccer Tennis, from mastering volleys and first touches to understanding gameplay and scoring. The class promotes teamwork, coordination, and agility through a mix of drills, skill challenges, and small-sided games. All equipment is provided. This class is held in the gym.
Class Structure:
- Warm-up: Soccer-focused stretches and agility drills.
- Drills: Focused skill work on volleys, control, and ball placement.
- Games: Friendly match play to apply learned techniques and develop strategy.
Class Focus:
- Skills Development: Build control, first touch, volleys, and juggling techniques.
- Physical Fitness: Improve balance, coordination, and agility.
Gameplay Highlights:
- Players can use their feet, chest, and thighs — but not their hands or arms.
- Games are typically played to 11 or 21 points, with a two-point margin to win.
- Can be played as singles, doubles, or triples, allowing for flexible team play.
