In this camp, students will learn about orchestra through movements, activities, fundamental rhythm lessons and teamwork.
Campers will be introduced to the instruments of the orchestra through games and instruction. Activities will include an instrument building workshop and an “instrument petting zoo.” Parents will be invited to the final performance of our Silly Symphony on June 23 where campers will perform using their own creations or a real instrument.
Silly Symphony is taught by acclaimed concert artists and music instructors from the DFW Institute of Musical Advancement (DIMA Texas). All DIMA teachers hold advanced degrees including many with doctorates. DIMA is a proud partner of The Royal Conservatory, an institution recognized globally as the golden standard in music study.
