In this camp, students will learn about orchestra through movements, activities, fundamental rhythm lessons and teamwork.
Campers will explore orchestra instruments by creating their own silly instruments out of recyclable materials, such as popsicle harmonicas, straw panpipes, tissue box guitars, water xylophones and use them to play arrangements of famous tunes. Movement and fun will fill this week of music for future instrumentalists! Silly Symphony is taught by acclaimed concert artists and music instructors from the DFW Institute of Musical Advancement (DIMA Texas). All DIMA teachers hold advanced degrees including many with doctorates. DIMA is a proud partner of The Royal Conservatory, an institution recognized globally as the golden standard in music study.
