Embark on a fun reading and writing adventure where students decode clues, enhance comprehension, and develop essential pre-literacy skills while crafting their own stories with creativity and colorful illustrations.
In the reading sessions, students will work on decoding clues, answering comprehension questions, and building essential pre-literacy skills like word decoding and sound tapping. Through group activities, they’ll strengthen comprehension, handwriting, fine motor, and communication skills.
In writing, campers will explore stories through mentor texts and craft their own written responses. From sounding out words and constructing sentences to brainstorming creative story ideas and adding colorful illustrations, this camp sparks a love for reading and writing. A perfect way to inspire budding readers and writers!
The Academy workshops are capped to ensure a small student to teacher ratio. Camp summaries will be sent home on Friday identifying activities, strengths, and areas for improvement.
