Dive into a week of engaging reading activities designed to strengthen literacy skills and foster a lifelong love of reading!
For rising 1st graders, this workshop will focus on pre-literacy and early reading skills such as word decoding, sound tapping, and building foundational fluency. Rising 2nd graders will work on advancing their decoding strategies, comprehension, and vocabulary development. Campers will enjoy small reading groups, interactive games, and hands-on activities that target decoding, comprehension, and handwriting while boosting confidence and enthusiasm for reading.
The Academy workshops are capped to ensure a small student to teacher ratio. Camp summaries will be sent home on Friday outlining strengths and areas for growth to keep young readers on track all summer long and inspire a passion for books!
