In this camp, students will strengthen their reading and comprehension skills through daily story exploration and engaging activities.
Campers will practice making connections, predictions, inferences, and sequencing while diving into a variety of stories and characters. Each morning includes focused writing time, where campers will work in both cursive and print to boost fine motor skills and polish their mechanics—spelling, punctuation, and capitalization—while tackling fun, daily writing prompts.
Led by Parish 4th grade teacher Lauren Smyth, this workshop fosters confidence, builds excitement for Humanities, and helps combat the summer slump. With small class sizes, every camper will receive personalized attention, making this a valuable jump-start for the school year ahead!
