Midway Choir builds on the ensemble performance fundamentals introduced in Hillcrest Choir and Music classes and also welcomes students who are eager to explore choral singing for the first time.
Students will develop healthy vocal techniques while exploring music from a wide range of genres and styles. The focus is on age-appropriate musical growth, teamwork, and a generous dose of fun.
As a co-curricular group, choristers serve as ambassadors of the Midway Choir and perform at various school events, including some held outside regular school hours. Details about performances will be shared by the instructor, and participation is highly encouraged.
There is no prerequisite for enrollment. Choir students will also take part in the Pride of Texas Music Festival in April—this experience is included in the class fee.
