This week will be dedicated to math! Students will enjoy hands-on learning through games, visual aids, manipulatives, and worksheets designed to strengthen math skills in number sense, addition, subtraction, place value, and measurement.
Manipulatives such as dice, dominoes, cards, Unifix cubes, and counters plus visual aids like charts and number lines will help students better comprehend concepts. This workshop, led by Parish Kindergarten teacher Madelyn Jones, is designed to foster self-esteem, create enthusiasm for math, and help fight the summer slump! Workshops are also capped to ensure a small student to teacher ratio. Progress reports will be sent home on Friday identifying activities, strengths, and areas for improvement.
