This camp is for young math enthusiasts who enjoy learning and doing math.
Using an engaging and age-appropriate curriculum, we’ll explore the classification and characteristics of number sets including prime, composite, square, factors and multiples. We’ll also investigate negative numbers on the number line and explore the place-value as it applies to decimals. Computation games will allow students to invent their own strategies and discover the flexibility of mathematical algorithms. As a bonus, we’ll delve into fascinating mathematics topics not traditionally taught in elementary school, such as probability and statistics. Participating campers will receive a binder, worksheets, and a pencil case full of math resources.
