This course serves as an introduction to object-oriented programming (OOP) and prepares students for more advanced programming courses.
Students will be introduced to OOP using Python programming language. Students will learn to use methods, functions, parameters, arguments, if-else statements, and loops through this easy-to-learn language.
There is a lot of material to address in this course. Successful students will manage their time well, stay on pace in the course, and be prepared for in-person sessions; students must attend 8 of 10 classes. Students will work on reading and lab assignments on their own, outside of class. Class time will be used for the introduction of new material, lab work, and assessment.

Course Attendance Requirements: Students must attend eight of the scheduled ten class meetings.
