We've got spirit, yes, we do! Grab your pom poms and get ready to learn jumps, cheers, stunts, gymnastics, and power tumbling in this high-energy class
Cheer & Tumbling introduces exciting and challenging elements such as half to full liberties, basket tosses, barrel rolls, round-off back handsprings, front tucks, back tucks, and various combination skills.
Students will also practice front hurdler jumps, straddle toe touches, and double nines—all with proper prep technique before each jump. Coach Ty customizes the curriculum based on each student’s skill level, making this program a perfect fit for both beginners and experienced cheerleaders.
Classes will focus on the following skills:
Weeks 1–2
• Drills: T-snap downs and jump technique
• Review stunts from last year + introduce two new ones
Weeks 3–4
• Tumbling: Sync skills to begin building a routine
Weeks 5–6
• Stretch machine workouts and endurance laps
• Focus on individual tumbling challenges
Weeks 7–8
• Voice projection: Indoor vs. outdoor cheer practice
• Record and review for clarity and volume
Weeks 9–10
• Learn a new cheer, stunt, and jumps
• 6th graders focus on cheer tryout skills
Weeks 11–12
• Routine practice: Blend cheer, stunts, jumps, and tumbling to music
Week 13
• Optional practice day—students choose what to focus on
