In this class, students will skip, gallop and leap…stretch, crawl, wiggle, and giggle. This combination class is an introduction to ballet, tap, and jazz. Dancers will learn basic tap dance, which is a wonderful activity to nurture a sense of rhythm and timing.
Also, dancers will be introduced to basic ballet positions and movements. They will learn the beginning steps of jazz and work on picking up choreography sequences that fuse together style and technique. A portion of this preschool class also allows the dancers to freely experience their own moving body and find joy in dancing. We will end class with basic tumbling and balancing activities.
Please note: While uniformity and proper dress are the norm in dance programs, this class will not change clothes. Students should wear tennis shoes and have hair pulled up.
