Campers will see an increase in difficulty in barre and center work as they begin to focus on repetition and retention.
This camp is for dancers who have prior knowledge of basic ballet foot and arm positions, and can demonstrate plie, tendu and degage. Single pirouettes and grand allegro will be introduced. The lyrical component of this camp combines techniques and skills from ballet and jazz. Dancers will also explore how lyrical dance emphasizes interpretation of music lyrics to tell a story with movement that can be fluid or abstract. Attire: Dance clothes are optional but highly recommended. Attire for this camp includes leotards, footless tights, dance skirts, t-shirt, leggings, sweatpants/shorts, ballet shoes and socks. This class will be held in the Noble Dance Studios.
