This class is designed for dancers who are ready to deepen their technique and explore more expressive movement. With a focus on both ballet and lyrical styles, dancers will build strength, flexibility, and control while learning more challenging steps, combinations, and transitions.
In ballet, students will work on proper posture, foot positions, pliés, tendus, and beginning barre work. In lyrical, dancers will explore fluid movement, emotional expression, and musical interpretation through graceful choreography that blends ballet technique with storytelling. This class encourages artistry and discipline while allowing space for creativity and self-expression. It’s the perfect next step for young dancers who are ready to grow in both skill and style.
*Dancers will participate in the 14th Annual Parish Extend Dance Academy Performance on May 16. A rehearsal is scheduled for May 15. The class fee includes the costume for the performance.
Attire: Black leotard, pink tights, pink split-sole ballet shoes, and tan split-sole jazz shoes. Hair should be pulled away from the face.
