At the intersection of art and geometry, this camp immerses campers in nature's beautiful world of fractals.
Through a storytelling format, campers will explore the parts of a circle and the construction of angles. They will learn to use a protractor and a compass to measure and construct various angles and the unit circle. The art aspect of this camp involves learning basic and advanced dotting techniques and applying highlights and details to their design. Campers will experiment with different materials, including canvas, river rocks, and vinyl records. They will also learn about the meditative benefits of mandala painting. Participants will receive a set of dotting tools, a brush, and a protractor.
