Welcome to Smart Moms Read! This event was created for you with two goals in mind: learn something new and have fun with other moms! We spend much of our day thinking about our kids, so why can’t an event where we learn about our kids be fun for us too? It can! Welcome to Smart Moms Read.
At this live event, we’ll be discussing the book Thrivers by Michele Borba EdD., but that’s just the beginning! This is more than a book club, it’s a social event for moms. Bring your mom friends and enjoy an evening of great discussion about parenting with people who get it! Doors open at 6:30pm and you don’t want to miss a minute of this mom-centric soiree.
About the Book
Thrivers is a book that offers lots of good thought-provoking topics for moms to consider. Are my children thriving? Am I being honest about the needs of each of my children? Should I be doing more or less? Join us to make sense of parenting in the year 2022!

Kelly Jameson, PhD
Kelly Jameson, PhD is a therapist and public speaker. Her private practice focuses on adolescents and their parents, especially moms. She believes having mom friends is crucial to good mental health, and she created this event to prove her theory.
Will I receive a ticket?
No, simply show up and we will have your name on a list!
Is the book included in the ticket price?
No, but we encourage you to shop local at Interabang Books on Lovers Lane.
Should I have read the book before the event?
Yes, that would be helpful but not 100% necessary. We will use the book at the event, so please bring it with you.
Is this a monthly book club?
No, this is a social event we hope to offer a few times a year! Stay tuned!

If I buy a ticket and cannot attend, can I get a refund?
What?? You can’t make it? Bummer! Refunds are not offered but we encourage you to gift your ticket to a fellow mom or let us know and we will make sure someone fills your seat.
What are your COVID protocols?
We will follow masking and distancing protocols in place at the school at the time of the event. If we are forced to postpone the event due to COVID concerns we will reschedule and refund those ticketholders who are no longer able to attend.
Is this event for moms only?
Yes, sorry dads. This one is for moms only!
What should I wear?
Excellent question, of course. We are a room full of moms on a weekday night. We are not judgmental. We get it. Come as you are. Did I mention we have wine?
Can I bring my son or daughter to the event?
Um, no way. This is for moms only! You’ll be so filled up with knowledge and fun, your family (and you!) will be better for it.
Does the food and wine cost extra at the event?
No way! You just show up and we’ll take care of you, belly, brain, and heart!
Can I show up by myself?
Absolutely! We promise you a night of fun and connection with fellow moms!
